Loudon soccer comes close again

Loudon's Aidan Degnan chases the ball down in Saturday's sectional game.

For the second year in a row, the Loudon High School boy’s soccer team ended its season at the sectional stage with a loss Saturday to Gatlinburg-Pittman High School.

Unlike last year, the Redskins got to host this season’ matchup after winning the Region 2-1A championship Thursday. Despite taking the lead just over 10 minutes into the game, Loudon could not push on and fell behind early in the second half, never to recover on their way to a 5-2 defeat.
