William Mack Breazeale, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015, on his 88th birthday.

Born in Lenoir City and a graduate of Lenoir City High School, Mack was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He worked for many years for Tennessee Carolina Transportation Co., and retired to cattle farming. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Tennessee Farm Bureau.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stonewall Jackson “Jack” and Leota Smith Breazeale; and brother, Joe Breazeale.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Virginia M. Breazeale; children and spouses, Kaye and Ed Houk of Nashville, Vicki and Jim Cobble of Los Alamos, N.M., Martha and Noel Brown of Charlotte, N.C., and Don and Pam Breazeale of Lenoir City; grandchildren: Lara Riggs of Nashville, Amy Brady of Jackson, Jeff Cobble of Nashville, Andy Cobble of West Palm Beach, Fla., Adam Breazeale of Salem, Mass., Jason Breazeale of Hooper, Utah, and Amanda Breazeale of Lenoir City; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Martha Breazeale of Knoxville, and Charles and Kathy Breazeale of Maryville; sister and brother-in-law, Ila and Homer Mincy of Columbus, Ohio; sister-in-law, Vera Breazeale of Hickory, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m. with Dr. Dick DeMerchant officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Thursday and proceed to Breazeale Family Cemetery for 11 a.m. graveside services with full military honors conferred by the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard.
