The Rev. Mark Anthony Caldwell Sr., 59, of Loudon, passed away Aug. 26, 2021.
Mark was pastor of New Providence Baptist Church in Loudon for the past 22 years. He devoted his life to the Lord, the church and world missions. He was a loving husband, father and Popi.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Caldwell; and sister, Darlene Miller.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kim Culvahouse Caldwell; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Anthony Caldwell Jr. and Christina and Joseph Caldwell and Terra; grandchildren, Briley and Britton, Judah, Ramey and Lorelei; mother, Bernece Caldwell; brother and sister-in-law, Rodney and Virginia Stooksbury; brother-in-law, Ricky Miller; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The body lied in state 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, at New Providence Baptist Church. The family received friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the church. Funeral services followed at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Interment was in the New Providence Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Stooksbury, Christopher Miller, Caleb Miller, Bradley Helms, Kevin Lefevers and Lucas Hurd.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to New Providence Church Missions.
