LMU announces fall dean’s list

Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate has announced its dean’s list honorees for the fall 2016 semester. They are:

Megan Bland, a senior nursing major from Lenoir City.

Sarah Cornett, a junior wildlife and fisheries biology major from Lenoir City.

Rebekah Corwin, a junior veterinary health medicine major from Lenoir City.

Caroline Courtney, a senior nursing major from Lenoir City.

Catherine Courtney, a senior nursing major from Lenoir City.

Courtney Crook, a junior nursing major from Lenoir City.

Dena Estes, a junior nursing major from Louisville.

Lauren McCrossin, a senior nursing major from Lenoir City.

Amber McLean, a senior nursing major from Lenoir City.

Bonnie Moser, a junior nursing major from Lenoir City.

Desarhea O’Dell, a junior nursing major from Lenoir City.

David Rosati, a senior nursing major from Loudon.

Kellie Tucker, a senior nursing major from Lenoir City.

To be placed on the dean’s list, the student must be a full-time undergraduate and have a 3.5 grade-point average for the semester.

TWU accepts new students for fall

Tennessee Wesleyan University has accepted new students for enrollment for the upcoming academic year:

Cody Bandy of Loudon, who is a student at Lenoir City High School.

Cana Massey of Philadelphia, who is a student at Loudon High School.

Endia Lovelace of Loudon, who is a student at Loudon High School.

Bradey Sexton of Lenoir City, who is a student at Knoxville Catholic High School.

Located in Athens, Tennessee Wesleyan is a private, comprehensive institution grounded in the liberal arts and affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

Roth makes dean’s list

Daniel Harrison Roth of Loudon was named to the dean’s list for the 2016 fall semester at the University of Alabama.

Students on the dean’s list must be full time in the undergraduate program have an academic record of 3.5 or above.

Ye honored at law school

Jin Ye of Loudon has been named to the Lincoln Memorial University Law dean’s list for the fall 2016 semester.

A total of 33 students were honored for achieving a grade-point average of 3.25 or above while carrying at least a nine-credit-hour course load.

Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, provides educational experiences in the liberal arts and professional studies.

Roane State announces fall dean’s list

Several local students made the dean’s list at Roane State Community College for the fall 2016 semester. They are:

Greenback — Britianny Brakebill and Anthony Dyer.

Loudon — Courtney Adams, Brittany Baker, Gregory Bonilla, Chelsea Brown, Nelson Chang, Jonathon Grindstaff, Amber Hewitt, Kaitlyn House, Hannah Ingram, Rachel Kelley, Taylor Mount, John Schommer, Kassie Smith, Morgan Taylor, Kristen Watson, Amanda Wilson and Alyssa Woods.

Lenoir City — Alma Almanza, Austyn Balcom, Matt Buttram, Nicholas Buttram, Jasmine DuBois, Zachary Edwards, Kayla Gardner, Jacob Gump, Logan Hattley, Michelle Hensley, Samantha Hudson, Maria Juarez, Kristin Lashley, Katie Leho, Mary Lewis, Layci Mayton, Kelsey Palmer, Joanna Parton, Margaret Pierce, Holly Roberts, Taylor Shelton, Morgan Snipes, Shelby Willis and Amberlee Zeller.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must attain at least a 3.5 grade-point average while attempting 12 or more semester hours of college-level courses.

Roane State is a two-year college providing transfer programs, career-preparation programs and continuing education. Founded in 1971, the college has campuses in Crossville, Harriman, Huntsville, Jamestown, Knoxville, LaFollette, Lenoir City, Oak Ridge and Wartburg.

Smolens makes Clemson fall dean’s list

Alexander W. Smolens of Loudon has been named to the dean’s list at Clemson (S.C.) University for the fall 2016 semester.

Smolens is majoring in materials science and engineering.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student achieved a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.
