The North Panthers hit the road Saturday, opening their season at Sevierville in a conference matchup.
Quarterback Austin Sharpe led the way for the Panthers, scoring three touchdowns in the team's 24-14 win.
Jacob Helton grabbed the team's other score on a two-yard carry.
Sharpe finished the game with 165 yards rushing on 13 carries and completed one pass, to Jaden Binkley, for 10 yards.
Zane Bowen was the team's second-leading rusher with 44 yards and Bryant Bingham rushed for 24 on three carries.
Leading the way on defense was Bailey Brockwell, who recorded six tackles, two for a loss, and an interception. Bingham recorded 4.5 tackles, Jacob Eichelberger recorded four and Angel Huchapa came away with three.
The Panthers' biggest area of struggle came with eight penalties for 60 yards, two penalties and 25 yards more than Sevierville.
North will play its home opener at 4:30 p.m. Thursday against Carpenters Middle School. It will be the first game for the North Panthers played in the new stadium at Lenoir City Middle School. A ribbon cutting for the stadium will be held at 4 p.m.
