Born in Lawrence County, Geneva Sumner Adams was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg and an avid quilter.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James P. Adams of Lawrenceburg.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her daughter, Susan Woodward son Ron Adams and son- in-law John Woodward, of Loudon County, as well as sisters Irene Hammett, Knoxville; Mary Spivey, McMinnville; and Pat and Roger Davis; Lenoir City. Her grandchildren are Terry Woodward, Las Vegas, Nev.; Ben Woodward, Cherry Hill, N.J.; Alex Adams, Lawrenceburg; and Susan Taylor, Leoma. Her great-grandchildren are Katelyn Woodward and Zach Woodward, Samantha and Rebecca Woodward, Allie, Madddie and Briar Taylor and Aiden Adams.

A family graveside service will be held at a later date at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens.
